ABOUT STEPH
For over 21 years, I’ve worked as a full-time Boston photographer serving clients across Massachusetts, throughout New England, and wherever their stories take me. I’m passionate about capturing people in every chapter of their lives — their love, their families, and their work.
My journey began in 2003, when I spent a summer guiding rafting trips on the Deerfield River in Western Massachusetts. A few years later, in 2005, I became the company’s full-time photographer. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to seeking out once-in-a-lifetime moments and working closely with people to document their lives in meaningful ways.
I’m a mom to twin boys, married, and living in Hopkinton, MA. When I’m not working, you’ll find me out walking my dog, buying new LEGO sets for the whole family, or learning more about World War II thanks to my history-loving son.

I am a Boston photographer located in Hopkinton, MA. Since 2005 I’ve focused on all kinds of people photography: professional portraits, non-profit events, conferences, headshots, weddings, elopements, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, engagements, and family portraits.
My career began 21 years ago photographing whitewater rafting trips on the Deerfield River in Charlemont, MA. Since then, I have established myself as an in-demand portrait and event photographer throughout Boston and New England.
I maintain close professional relationships with respected event planners, including Siagel Productions, Erica Paige Events & Parties, and Rachel G Events, as well as renowned institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University.
A key part of my process is collaborating closely with clients to understand their goals. I will help brainstorm locations, discuss wardrobe, develop strategy, and create a strong, thoughtful plan for each session.
On the day of the shoot, your stress is minimized because you will have a clear plan to follow—while still leaving room for spontaneity. I am highly responsive to shifts in light, unexpected locations, and moments of inspiration, making every session feel like an adventure. It’s equal parts preparation and flexibility.
After the session, I deliver images quickly and communicate a clear timeline for your gallery. Many clients receive several sneak peeks the very next day (!!!). I will edit with speed and care, maintaining the high standards I’ve held for decades. I don’t rely on AI for editing—instead, I carefully review hundreds of images and hand-adjust each one.
All sessions include professional retouching on a select number of favorite images, allowing you to fine-tune details like stray hairs, exit signs, and other distractions.
