“Best of ” = a nearly impossible task of cherry picking a small slice of the year in weddings and couple’s portraits. I will be diving into each of these days in more detail, but for now…
Getting Ready
I love the way a wedding day starts. It’s the part of the day that feels the most photo-journalistic and a wonderful way to settle into the close group of family and friends that I’ll meet first.

Portraits
Portraits happen throughout the day and they are a mix of people in motion, posed, enjoying the moments they’re in and the spaces we find….
I especially loved the swimming pool portraits (I was IN the water with everyone! I almost forgot to take my phone out of my pocket before I hopped in) and with bike photobombers along the Charles River.

Ceremony
It’s the centerpiece of the day. It’s the part that will give you butterflies that you’ve been anticipating for months. This year I loved the range of ceremonies. Lots of private, intimate spaces, restaurants and ones that we just showed up to in a “pop up” wedding style.

Details
These are some of the little moments I found throughout the days this year.

Celebrating
If the ceremony gave you butterflies, then the reception is where you get to enjoy all the hard work of months of planning. There’s lots of hugs, clinking glasses and dancing with all your favorite people.
In another post I’ll have a lot more to share, but especially the day that involved a gender reveal cake cutting (below). It’s a girl and Team Pink was very excited to be on the winning side. She just made her debut into the world recently!

Portraits at Night
I like how portraits at night can be in the moment. We surely did enough proper and formal photos earlier 🙂

Around Boston
This year I visited some old favorites and some new places in Boston. This year was a big one for couple’s visiting from other parts of the country and I got to play tour guide.

Proposals
This year I got a chance to see two marriage stories in the making <3

Weddings are just part of the work I do. I’ll be recapping 2021 Families and Headshot & Business Client work as well later this month.
Always terrific photos that tell the story of a wonderful day! Love your photos Steph, thanks for posting.
