Tina, Jared and their wedding party wow-ed you all with their synchronized, rainy jump shot and now I have to share some stellar moments from their reception. I credit the music; Ramu & The Crew kept everyone out of their seats and packed on the dancefloor.
Tina emailed me back after she saw these and said, “Hilarious! So many moments I heard about but didn’t see…” That sums it up pretty well – I keep an eye out on the party going down where you are and sometimes where you’re not. Because if your friend is doing The Worm, you know you want proof of that.
note both hands and feet off the floor. Am I impressed? Yes Sir!!
such athletic dancers so impressed /looks like everyone had a great time kudos to the photographer xxo #1 fan
love the pictures,a lot of athletic people there.
you can tell everyone had a great time.congratulations
Ah-mazing reception photos===your readers should know that if you get about two of those per wedding that is pretty good, and you could about a million amazing moments, your bride and groom must be thrilled!
Okay photo goddess – I want the details on how you shot such amazing dancing photos! Lens? camera settings? Flash? Share, please. I LOVE them all!
5D (original),
16-35mm lens,
ISO 1600,
probably at least 1/125 second,
f2.8-4,
manual flash on my 580ex II – 1/16 or 1/32 power {very much an estimate}
There was a super low ceiling right over the dancefloor that divided the room and that was great to bounce of off. It made for a nice glowy spotlight. At times I was overexposing people because I would move from high ceilings to low ones and if I didn’t readjust my manual flash settings, they’d be a little HOT. Nothing that the RAW files couldn’t recover. You’ve got to know how far you can over/under expose and still not worry. When you know that you can recover details then keep shooting and worry about post production later.
I can’t take credit for the dance moves, all that goes to Tina & Jared’s friends for being awesome.
