June 23, 2012 will go down as one of my favorite weddings and wedding venue ever. I’m a huge fan of doing things differently and a wedding on a sailing ship tops the list (so far!) The details were impeccable and thoughtful (Sperry Top Siders, DIYed bouquets & boutonnieres, wedding party sunglasses, the cake, the favors….), the people were genuine and the weather went from one extreme to the other: it had everything!!
Thanks to the crew at the Liberty Clipper Ship!! Huge hugs to S&J for inviting us on the adventure!
The girls came down the escalator at the Marriott Long Wharf for the First Look.
Sun gave way to the start of the rain just in time to huddle under deck and before guests boarded.
And then the rain came!
I describe it as “movie set” rain. Something that seems like it must artificial it’s just so heavy. It added the right amount of drama to the day and let up in time for the ceremony.
The skies dried up and the ceremony went on.
I’d cue The Beatles “Here come the sun” right now if I could. Everyone enjoyed the rest of the harbor reception in the setting sunshine.
We grabbed some portraits around the boat.
Yes, that is a Lego rowboat cake topper!
Steph these are amazing!!! Super jelous you got to shoot this, it looks like it was a blast!
