I’m kind of in love.
Actually, MADLY in love with this glorious wall of light that falls from the top of the stairs at the Boston Public Library. The warm glow defining the handsome marble archway doesn’t hurt either.
Saturday I wandered around the Back Bay with Ashley. She knows I shoot business headshots, but No. She knew she didn’t want that. She wanted an image that would transcend the sorta-stiff and manufactured studio scene. Something that you have to hunt out with a keen eye and an open mind.
So me and my cameras, her and her heels walked around to seek out those unique backdrops we can’t find in my studio. Here’s what we found:
At the Boston Public Library:
At the Park Plaza Hotel:
Take One: it’s a little messy bedhead and sexy.
Take Two: it’s totally professional and approachable
ps. I was a little giddy shooting the halls of the Library because this August I have a wedding there.
pps. Selena & Nat, if you’re reading this I’m super-duper excited for your wedding!!
