When Jenn and I brainstormed location ideas for this portrait session we thought of city backdrops between Boston and Worcester. Logistics lead us to a simpler plan – we planned the session to be at home!

Lots of good reasons to opt for home!

Easy outfit changes (out in the city we have to plan where and how you’ll change outfits)

Work from home is very much a vibe now – embrace it.

You might get to sneak your dog into a few shots 🙂

I can work with simple window light and make the rest of your house fall out of focus.

If you’re considering this, I want to remind you that you don’t need to fuss with cleaning the whole house. Please don’t bother. The spaces we’ll need are pretty compact and I won’t judge your base boards, dust bunnies and can avoid the pile of kids toys.

When I need to I can bring in light and still keep it natural looking so it doesn’t feel like a stiff portrait.

This whole shoot was about an hour. A really good length for a session where we create lots of variety, but it’s not exhausting. Promise!
