Last week I got to act like a tourist in my own city, with visits to The Colonnade Hotel, a Duck Tour, a Top of the Hub lunch and a tour of Fenway Park.
BUT I was working the whole time for one of my clients Staples Inc. and they are so generous and appreciative of their best employees that every year they fly team members from all over the country and world in for a few days to celebrate their excellent work, connect with top level management and see where this global brand started.
We kicked off the day early with some team building and getting to know each other activities.
A morning photobooth and each set of award winners were tasked with coming up with a pose.
Some spelling out words like “TEAM”, “SOUL”, “EASY”. Those words represent the awards they were winning.
We jumped on some Duck Boats!
Even in the drizzle it’s still one of the best ways to see the city AND the river.
Driving past the Staples store in downtown Boston was a personal highlight for the group.
If you’re giving out of towners a real feel of Boston,
a trip up to of one of the highest buildings is TOP* on the list.
*see what I did there?
After lunch some did some Back Bay shopping, some went to the Museum of Fine Arts
but I couldn’t wait to tag along on the Fenway Park tour.
I’d never been and it was too cool to see it on a non-game day and hear so much history.
Cocktail hour at the Colonnade.
The awards ceremony.
We finished off the night with group photos of all of the winners and senior management.
After all of that, all I can say is,
“THAT WAS EASY!”
