Sunrise Engagement Shoot at Halibut Point State Park . Rockport, MA

Mallory & Gabe were up for anything on their engagement shoot, were open to suggestions and I started to daydream about my photography bucketlist….

I’d never shot a sunrise session before + I’d never taken clients to one of my favorite rocky beaches

Like I said these two were up for anything and my enthusiasm for how awesome it could be was enough to convince them 🙂

So what does a sunrise shoot look like?

Like this 😀
It’s a sunset shoot in reverse. You start before the sun is expected to rise and it’s already fairly bright out and set yourself up to enjoy the moment the sun comes up from where the sky meets the ocean.

They danced, we scrambled over the rocky shore, tried not to slip on the slick rocks.
